Go Green by Using Used Cell Phones
These days, there are lots of efforts made not only by the government but as well as individuals and private organizations in keeping our environment clean and green. We have seen the effects of climate change in the recent years and the continued destruction of the environment is posing danger to all of us in the coming years.
It’s so sad to recall the horrifying effects of massive floods, landslides and more brought about by nature. Mother Earthis giving us signs to save the environment and do our own share and that starts in our house. Little things like segregating waste materials can do big if we do it on regular basis.
Thankfully, there are many companies these days like Green Cells that are promoting on how to save the environment and to utilize used cell phones if we can. In this way, old cellphones can be used once again and kept from being dump in landfills. Since 2005, they have been providing quality used verizon phones, used at&t phones and used t mobile phones to their customers and imparting their use and recycle mission to have a greener and healthier environment. Companies like Green Cells deserve a good praise indeed. Aside from that, you can sell your old cellphone at GreenCells and save more.
Go Eco-Friendly by Composting
If there is one thing I want my mom do is to stop burning the dead leaves/grass etc at our backyard. I was once piqued one morning to smell smoke and see smoke entering my bedroom coming from outside. I jumped out of my bed and ask my mom if the neighbor is the one who set the fire once again and I was alarmed that my mom is the one who did it. I asked her not to do it again because it’s harmful not just for our health but for the environment as well.
Anyway, we can all be conscious and be aware of what is good for our homes and for our Mother Nature as well. We can always participate in saving it with our own little way and that will start in our homes. Separating the recyclable plastics etc. from non-recyclable is already a good start. It may seem a bit of a work but if you think about it we are actually doing something good.
I haven’t tried composting yet but with the looks of it, it will greatly benefit the environment but it requires an effort or patience do it on your own homes. There are actually garden composters that come in the form of gallon, basin, a bucket, aerobin and huge metal composters where you can put all your household scraps that can be converted as compost.
Worm Farms can be use as well and as the name suggests bins are filled with worms that can actually hasten the time for food scraps to become compost. I figure that there are some household owners and even small groups/organization that are doing this as a way of going eco-friendly.
I’m even more fascinated to learn that there are even composting toilets being used these days. Actually, it’s my 1st to have heard such and I believe it’s a noble idea for the inventor to have made this; not only will it minimize human waste but water as well.
I salute those individuals and organizations who are endlessly trying to make our world safer, healthier and greener to live in. Let’s do our own share too.
