Stuxnet Virus: A Major Cyber Threat
Don’t we have enough viruses, worms, trojans and other malicious attackers in our computers? I’ve been sick and tired getting rid of those viruses as they try to ruin the computers that I have in my net cafe. No matter how much careful I am with the computers that I have they are still vulnerable to such attacks as multiple users are using it everyday.
Anyway, Stuxnet virus according to Symantec team said that the virus was mostly found in Iran since it’s first target was Iran’s nuclear plants. It is also known to be a potential threat on industrial control systems around the world and many industries have been alerted already as it has affected thousands of computers in the last weeks. Should the finance job companies be alarmed as well?
I’m pretty sure that experts will try their best to control the spread of this virus.

DELL Studio One 19 Touch Screen Desktop Computer
Hot off the press. Dell just recently released this DELL Studio One 19 and I am already drooling. The screen is 18.5″ display with optional multi-touch screen functionality. I just recently bought a DELL inspiron laptop and oh boy this new desktop model is so tempting. I think this desktop is perfect for kids.

I Need a Memory Upgrade
When I bought my HP desktop almost a year ago it has 160 GB of hard drive which I reckon is not enough bec. my digital photos are eating a lot of space and just only 512 MB DDR2 of memory. My OS is Vista and it already requires 1GB of memory so I thought of upgrading.
Fortunately I have 3 slots for the memory cards so I added 2 memory cards (1GB each) and when I open other programs the performance is already good. Right now, I am doing a lot of graphics using my Photoshop CS3 and PSP8 and I reckon I need to have 3GB of memory. I will just buy when I have time. What about you have you upgraded yet?

One PC is Down
It’s been many days now that one (1) pc here at my net cafe is down. I troubled shoot it for a while but my efforts seems futile bec. I wasn’t able to make it work. When I tried to boot the pc it will just hang and won’t continue to open. I tried opening several times but still nothing happened. I asked my sister in law (my partner in crime hehe) to open the computer and check on the parts maybe their are only loose ones (as instructed by our technician when we called on the phone). Much worse happened bec. it has no power.
I have only few units and it’s a problem when my customers come or flock at the same time. I need to have it repaired so I told my SIL to bring it to the technician. The technician called today and he told me that the video card is the culprit. So we need to buy one asap and I hope it it cheap like the used cisco products. I badly need the pc at my cafe and I am hoping by tomorrow it will be working fine like it used to be.
