Blogs are a great new way to communicate with your friends, family, and the world about things that you care about. Some people have been afraid to start a blog because they feel like they need to know computer science and have a degree in web design, but that is not true. Creating and starting a blog can be very easy to do. It’s not like you have to mortgage refinance Washington, D.C., or fly to the moon. And it’s nothing like being a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist. With a few tips, you’ll be blogging in no time.

First of all, there are a couple of great, free blogging services that you can sign up for that make it cheap and easy to start and maintain your own blog. There is Worpress (which is probably the most popular), Blogger, TypePad, and Tumblr (mainly for very short, mobile blogging). All of these services are free and they give you all the tools you need to get started. You don’t even need to download anything because these sites will host your blog for you. All you need to get started is a username and password.

Once you’ve created the blog, you’ll have to create the look of your blog. Again, all of these sites offer free, easy templates to use in creating your first blog. WordPress generally has the most professional-looking blog templates, but they can also be hard to customize.

Once you’ve decided on a template, it’s time to start writing. Most people just blog about their lives and interests so their friends and family can read them. But you can also pick an area that you are enthusiastic about and choose to blog about that one, single topic. Pick something that you are passionate and knowledgeable about, write informatively and creatively, and soon you’ll have plenty of regular readers.

There came a time when I felt like EC (Entrecard) dropping is just a waste of time, eating my precious time for blogging or hopping but it proved me wrong as I needed EC dropping not only to find other great blogs in the blogosphere but to gain more traffic as well.

It only made me come back from dropping full swing when I signed at up Adgitize early this month. Though I can drop even 20 a day this time I can drop from 50- 100 each day which is not that bad while adgitizing as well.

One of the perks of EC dropping is when I get to stumble on blogs that are useful and or interesting. At some point, a blog was able to capture my attention and made me even browse all of its interesting articles. While there are some blogs that are just eyesore but I still respect them because it’s their own blog and web space.

Just to let you all know my traffic and alexa rankings here on this blog has dramatically improved immediately after a week of joining at Adgitize. My other blogs also enjoyed some exposure. I also have encouraged few of my friends to join but some are still skeptical.

1. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging January of 2005 at my other blog (SIMPLY JEN), here’s my very 1st post. At first it was really too corny to have a journal online where anyone can read but later on I thought it was cool to share some stuff and share my feelings. Not long after I made 4 more blogs and right now I have 5 blogs, 2 of them are domain.

2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
Ana P.S. and I have been online friends since 2004 when we use to exchange thoughts and tutorials about our website or graphics. I saw her made a journal one day, I started reading it and like I said it was too corny at 1st but I end up making one for myself too. But mentor in blogging i guess is myself.

3. Are you trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
When I 1st started in Jan. 2005 it was all for fun esp. if there are many visitors coming to your blog reading and commenting about the topic that you have shared. Then on Jan. of this year I was introduced into the world of paid blogging shared by my co- BEBOTS in our forum and my blogging has never been the same again. I enjoy both paid and my regular blogging. I try to make my blog esp. this domain as interesting as possible.

4. Tell me 3 things you LOVE about being online.
- I can blog about anything I want, I can chat with family and friends
- I can meet lots of people from all over the world esp. thorough memes and photohunts
- I can surf the net, learn new things and explore different blogs and sites

5. Tell me 3 things you STRUGGLE within the online world.
- Fighting with those comment and tag board spammers!!. My other blog has been attacked with lots of it and it is rally annoying.
- I’m struggling to divide my time from doing online against offline works. My offline works have suffered so much lately but I hope I can juggle both of them.
- Keeping my visitors/readers come back more often in my blogs but I can say I have regular readers now.

I had the time to blog hop the other day whilst dropping some Ec cards. Bloggers have really sprouted over the year especially here when Paypal over its doors for us last year. Bloggers rejoiced because for those that are monetizing their blogs they can easily accept money now from advertisers.

It’s been a delight for me to browse many blogs, not just only here but many countries as well. I was particularly attracted by the photos that bloggers are sharing making me peek a bit on their own private lives. Also saw some videos on some blogs and it was fun to watch. Anyway, I am just happy that I became a blogger.
