My friends and I are greeting each other Merry Christmas this early. Just in case you didn’t know Christmas here in the Philippines already start as soon as September steps in. Just this morning I saw the early morning shows having their respective Christmas countdowns and their set already clad with Christmas decors. It may seem too early and OA for others but that is how some of us do.
Eventhough sending holiday cards via snail mail seem obsolete for others, I find it exciting to still send Christmas cards to my friends and relatives as much as possible even though there’s already e-cards. There’s nothing like sending cards and being received by your loved ones in hand. It’s also good to note that there are recycled Christmas or holiday cards available.
This is an amazing painting done by Robert Burden called “Birth of a Jedi“. It took him 7 months to complete this great work of art and I’m sure my bro who is also a visual artist will be in awe when he sees this.

One of the simplest ways you can advertise your business is by using postcard printing services. These services can print numerous cards for you with your company’s name and logo on them, which you can then send out to current and potential customers. There are several different companies that you can use, and you’ll want to pick the one that’s right for you.
When selecting a printing service, you’ll want to compare the number of postcards they can print at one time and the amount they charge. You’ll also want to compare the quality of each company’s products. You want to make sure you are sending out the best-looking postcards you can. After all, this is an invitation to come and see your place of business, and you want as many people to come as possible. By mailing out the best-looking card you can, you’ll ensure more people take an interest in seeing what it has to say, and therefore, more people who will visit your business.
When designing your postcard, you’ll want to see what company offers the best design to match your business, or see if they use custom designs. If so, you can provide your company’s logo to be used as the design. You’ll then want to check out their selection of colors, print styles, sizes, and finishes.
There may be other services these companies can offer you that will save you time and money. Some printing companies will address and mail the postcards for you. Some offer different rates depending on the turnaround time you want or need. Some offer deals on certain packages, or a certain amount of printing you have done. When choosing the advertising tools you use for your business, make sure you are getting the best quality for the best price for your business.
I was mentioning earlier that we can always make new things out of the old things and here is one good example that I found online.

It’s a Xylophone windchime from a children’s toy, and obviously it is made out of old xylophone and the creator just put it side by side using beaded key chains. You don’t even need an online college degreeto make this stuff. Just let your imagination sets in and you’ll see that you have been creative. (Image via instructables.com)
These days we are always encouraged to recycle our things as much as possible. My brother is very good at that and he can actually transform an old rickety chair or whatever to a work of art. He is actually a visual artist where can also use pieces of junk items in his medium.
Anyway, if you are looking for great ideas online that you can make your own here’s a diy gadgets blog that is interesting enough to read and take heed. You’ll find unquie ideas like wine corks that are made into an armchair. A seemingly old long playing record is transformed into a vintage bag and to a clock. You’ll find more inspirations on that blog when you are itching to make gadgets of your own.

Oh I found these cute Tweetie Pillows iPhone and Mac Version over at MY SUITE STUFF and actually you can get these as a gift for friends. Another great gift idea.
Each pillow costs $15 each but if you will get both of these as “MyTweetStuff Bundle” it is only priced for $25. Tweetie pillows are 100% handmade so orders can be a little bit slow at 6-7 weeks, so if you want one then you better place your order now.
They also have other iphone apps pillows. Aren’t they cute?
Take a look at what I’ve found over at ETSY, it’s a Glass Tile Pendant Silver Laptop Computer Key, END Key Necklace. It’s actually a cool idea, you’ll be going out without leaving a piece of your keyboard hehehe.
It’s an 18″ silver and black beaded chain and you can grab one of this at capitolagirl’s shop at ETSY
How Cool is this Robot Jordan’s Air Junk Dunk Shoes by Gabriel Dishaw ?
This is a very unique and creative idea by Gabriel Dishaw to have come up with this nike shoes made out of wires and circuit boards using glue. This will be a nice piece of collection for sure. Source

I have enjoyed arts and crafts long time ago and hobbies can relieve our stress from our day to day life. Isn’t it nice to tinker on something to get your minds away from any worries? In fact, I used to decorate baskets with flowers and ribbons or make wreaths to hang in our house. I also made some to give as token to my friends and I find fulfillment in them. I also have tried cross-stitching in mid 90’s until early 2000. I have made few pcs. that is still hanging here in my shop. The last time I hold a needle and stitch was in 2000 and I don’t know when I will stitch again.
And aside from that I also enjoy collecting stamps and many more and right now since it is digital age already I am into digital photography and digital scrapbooking. There are many hobbies that we can select depending on what we desire and we have passion for. Some enjoy and love to make pots or into pottery making. With their passion on this craft they even made it as a business that is also profitable.
Actually supplies for making pots are very easy to find now online and AMACO/Brent products will come handy for you try. With the wide selection of their products like their amaco kilns, throwing wheels, modeling clays, brushes, potters wheel parts, and more you are on your way to a new hobby or business. Should you be interested in pot making or are already into it just to let you know they also have art clay kiln that you can use. I also suggest going to seminars or classes so you’ll have more knowledge about that craft.
I remember having been to a small pot making and they have this huge ceramic pottery kilns where they harden the pots by high temperature heat. I reckon these days more modern kilns are developed to make pottery making a lot easier.

Show off your creativity by making this cool DIY (do-it-yourself) denim gadget case. Your iphone and other gadgets will be safely stored in it. Functional and stylish as well. Who would have thought that our old pair of worn jeans can be made into this. Thanks to the creativity of people behind Instructables because they even have a step by step instructions on how to make these gadget cases.
I think I also have read that it is now selling at etsy.com (a place for anything handmade – love this shop!) Sometimes all we need are great ideas and creativity to come up with some unique and functional things. Who knows you can even sell your own stuff like this.
