Unique Recipes for Pizza

Pizza is a favorite food for kids and adults. Pizza night can be a weekly ritual at your house. If you make the recipes yourself it allows you to customize the food to stay within your budget and use what you already have. This is also great for picky eaters because everyone can choose their own toppings.

Depending on the prep time, you can use the idea of pizza for any meal. A breakfast pizza can use an English muffin instead of dough. Then, mix and match pizza toppings like tomato sauce with breakfast favorites such as ham or bacon. You can also use pita bread as a crust substitute for lunch.

A dessert pizza is something that kids and adults can enjoy. Start out with a cookie crust and roll it into a large circle. Then, you can use whipped topping or cream cheese for the sauce. You can just glaze the pizza with a fruit spread or try a less realistic looking cinnamon version. Find fruit that replicates traditional pizza toppings by using strawberries instead of tomatoes. You can also just pile on your favorite fruit like pineapple or kiwi.

Healthy Toppings
Pizza doesn’t have to be in the junk food category. You can cut back on the cheese and substitute a whole wheat crust. You can also get a low moisture or low fat cheese. Then, pile on the vegetables instead of the meat. This includes basic peppers, mushrooms, and onions, but you can take it a step further. You can even add corn on top of a grilled pizza or try spinach.

Preparation
Pizza can even be appropriate for dinner parties if you just upgrade the preparation. Try using a pizza stone or make a stuffed pizza that has a crust on the top. You can even grill the pizza for a different take on outdoor cooking.

A Unique Career Idea: Travel Nursing

If you like to travel and have the aptitude to pursue a nursing degree, travel nursing could be a great career for you. There are organizations and agencies that deal specifically with traveling nurses. Some of the agencies have assignments only in the United States. Others have job opportunities around the world including such locations as China, India, England, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

The first step to becoming a traveling nurse is to get a degree in nursing. Your local college or university might have a nursing program. Nurses are in high demand right now, and some schools might have a waiting list. If your area doesn’t have a nursing school, there are also online schools that offer nursing programs. As part of the program, you’ll have to complete an externship at a local hospital or clinic before you are given the degree.

Once you have your nursing degree, which agency you sign up with will depend, first of all, on where you want to travel. Most agencies have a website that will list many of the job opportunities, the location and the length of the assignment. Assignments typically last anywhere from two weeks to several months. But the website won’t show all jobs, so it’s best to contact the organization directly.

The second thing you want to consider when choosing a travel nursing employment agency is what salary and benefits they offer. Travel nurses usually get paid an hourly rate that is competitive with regular nursing jobs in hospitals or clinics. The agency should pay for your travel expenses including airfare and possibly a rental car. Accommodations should also be included in the job offer. Traveling nurses might stay in apartments or houses, and some of these accommodations can be very nice. If your assignment is for several months, you’ll want to be sure that you have a comfortable place to live during that time.

Debt Consolidation and How it Can Help You

Many of us have heard of debt consolidation, but some may not understand what it actually is. So, what is debt consolidation, really? When you have many loans or debts, you may be able to take out one loan to pay off all the others. This is done for many different reasons, and it may be a great option for you. Many times, this can roll together credit card payments, student loans, car and house payments, and more.

Frequently, the loan that is received is secured. This means that there must be some sort of collateral towards the loan. Generally, the collateral is a house. Basically, this means that the person that wants to consolidate their loans may need to take out a second mortgage on their home.

When considering your options, make sure you look at them from all angles. Consolidating your debt may sound like a good idea, and in many cases is a good idea. It can lower your monthly payments and make life easier. You may end up paying more in the long run, though, because of longer loan times. For many people considering this course of action, this is not a problem at all. Many times, people will decide on debt consolidation because they can not afford the monthly payments on everything, and for them, this is a great option.

Debt consolidation is a great option for many people who may be considering bankruptcy. Taking all of your loans and putting them into one smaller monthly payment is something that can keep a significant amount of people out of bankruptcy. This will not only help your credit, but for a lot of people, it will help keep up their self esteem, as well. So, if you are facing bankruptcy, take a look into loan consolidation first. It may be a huge help.

How to Get a Bargain for Kids Backpacks

You can find an inexpensive kid’s backpack in department stores, discount stores, supermarkets, drugstores, and other places. Certain craft stores, luggage stores, leather stores, and sporting goods stores also carry backpacks. However, at these places, prices are on the higher side. Of course, the choices may be more durable and higher quality.

There are many ways to purchase a kids backpack at a lower rate. One technique is to wait for a sale. You can also buy used backpacks that are still in good condition. To do this, you may need to look for ads and contact sellers directly. If you can negotiate the price, you can obtain an enticing bargain. Be careful about handing out personal information, though.

Another useful tip to save money while buying backpacks is to opt for lightweight kid’s backpacks. They are always cheaper than the heavy ones. You can also look at thrift stores for inexpensive and cheap backpacks. They may not look as cool or have the expensive materials as other ones, but they are certainly better than having your children carry their things with just their hands. That’s a frightening alternative.

Use the Internet to search for inexpensive, new, or used backpacks. You can also go to forums where people sell backpacks. These forums give you the opportunity to answer your questions regarding backpacks. If possible, you can make the backpack yourself. It will certainly save you a noticeable amount of money.

You can encourage your child’s school to purchase backpacks at wholesale. You may have to talk to the principal for this, not the teacher. The company from which the school buys the backpacks may be willing to give a significant discount because of the volume of the sale. You can also post ads specifying the price at which you’re willing to buy backpacks. With these money saving efforts, you can get a bargain on backpacks.

The Two-Phase Packing Approach: Before the Moving Company Arrives

Dealing with moving companies and relocating are probably not at the top of anyone’s fun list. Even for people who are super organized and meticulous, it seems that there is always an element of confusion and disorientation. Most people pack up one room at a time and while this makes sense at first, taking a two-phase approach to packing will provide you with greater flexibility on both sides of the move and create a less stressful experience.

The two-phase approach is simply this; ask yourself “What is the bare minimum I require for the next two weeks?” Packing up non-essentials first serves multiple purposes. First, it allows you to start packing earlier than you could otherwise. Also, not only does this give you longer access to the items you need on a daily basis, not-so-ironically these are the exact same items you need first when you arrive at your final destination — so you’ve already simplified the process for both sides of the move!

For example, think about the bathroom. There are the things you use every day and then there are the backups, refills, extra towels, etc. It might make sense to put all of the toilet paper in one box, but since this is an item that you need up until your last day, pack up the items that you won’t need and keep out only what you do need. The same can be done with the office, closets and kitchen.

Think of it as the reverse of packing for a month long vacation. Simplifying the moving process is as simple as packing up non-essentials and living out of what you can fit in a suitcase or two. Not only will this save you a lot of time and hassle, you might also avoid some of that pre-moving company arrival panic.

Going Beyond Branding

You have gone through the creative, production, and event marketing and you are finally done with your new business or product. Wrong! Your work has just begun. You have laid the groundwork and now it is up to you and your employee to make it work.

Have you ever picked up a brochure or saw an advertisement on television and ordered the product, or gone to the location, and found that the brochure did not live up to your expectations? Have you complained or asked for help and the employee was not interested in help you solve your problem? If you have, then you are beginning to get the idea that there is more work to be done.

”’Tips After Branding”’
Your employees should answer the phone with a smile in their voice. The customer immediately feels better even before your courteous staff has helped them.

Employees should care about your customers. If they show disinterest or are not willing to help the customer, that customer will not be back. They will go to another restaurant, hotel, or pharmacy for their prescription drugs.

It does not matter if it the person that is cleaning crew, middle management, or upper management, everyone has to realize that customer service is a very strong component to success. If in doubt, read the comments and customer reviews on websites and blogs, and you will find that word about good products and good customer service is essential. On the other hand, bad reviews and poor customer service can deal your business a deadly blow.

Your customers should feel important and special when they leave your business. When a person walks into a business establishment and is spoken to by name instead of being given a number and shuffled off into a line, it makes a customer feel that you appreciate and want their business.

Easy Tips for Starting Your Own Blog

Blogs are a great new way to communicate with your friends, family, and the world about things that you care about. Some people have been afraid to start a blog because they feel like they need to know computer science and have a degree in web design, but that is not true. Creating and starting a blog can be very easy to do. It’s not like you have to mortgage refinance Washington, D.C., or fly to the moon. And it’s nothing like being a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist. With a few tips, you’ll be blogging in no time.

First of all, there are a couple of great, free blogging services that you can sign up for that make it cheap and easy to start and maintain your own blog. There is Worpress (which is probably the most popular), Blogger, TypePad, and Tumblr (mainly for very short, mobile blogging). All of these services are free and they give you all the tools you need to get started. You don’t even need to download anything because these sites will host your blog for you. All you need to get started is a username and password.

Once you’ve created the blog, you’ll have to create the look of your blog. Again, all of these sites offer free, easy templates to use in creating your first blog. WordPress generally has the most professional-looking blog templates, but they can also be hard to customize.

Once you’ve decided on a template, it’s time to start writing. Most people just blog about their lives and interests so their friends and family can read them. But you can also pick an area that you are enthusiastic about and choose to blog about that one, single topic. Pick something that you are passionate and knowledgeable about, write informatively and creatively, and soon you’ll have plenty of regular readers.

Drug Addiction Recovery Programs — More Than 12 Step?

Drug addiction is a very general term which covers a range of substances on which a person can become dependent. Treating addicts through drug addiction recovery programs is not an exact science, whether that approach is through medical or social science; all people are different so what works for one may not work for another. The 12 Step Program is the addiction recovery program best known worldwide, and familiar at least in name to people who have not had any direct or indirect experience of addiction.

Developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in the 1930s, the 12 Step Program has been adopted, and in many cases adapted, by addiction support and recovery groups covering a huge range of dependencies and behaviors, including drug addiction. What does the 12 Step Program entail and how does it fare against other drug addiction recovery programs for long term effective treatment of addiction?

The original 12 Steps involved a strong religious element, with the surrendering of personal will over to God in order to seek forgiveness and eventual recovery. This aspect has largely been dropped in modern 12 Step programs. The principles of admitting a loss of control over the addiction, divulging one’s shortcomings and making amends for past behavior are founding principles of the 12 Step program. Another defining feature of the program is the use of recovered addicts to pass on the message of the program and promote a life free from addiction.

There is no guarantee of any addiction recovery program working on a particular individual. Successful treatment of drug addiction that is not based on the 12 Step Program can include focuses such as motivation, intervention, coaching self control and relationship counseling. Much research has been conducted into the effectiveness of individual aspects of such programs, and much of the resulting data suggests that the 12 Step Program is by no means the best, or only, method of treating addiction.

Socially Acceptable Smoking?

Originally designed as an aid to help smokers quit their habit, e-cigarettes are now being embraced instead as a tobacco cigarette replacement that will allow smokers to light up in a more socially acceptable manner. First designed as a nicotine inhaler that was convenient to use as a smoking reduction device, the design was quickly changed and marketed so that the inhaler resembled a real cigarette and could be used in social situations without anyone noticing — or at least complaining.

E-cigs are small electronic devices that look like a regular cigarette complete with a glowing red tip to simulate burning. They are essentially an atomizer that uses low heat to create a vapor from nicotine liquid. The vapor is inhaled by the user. Because the vapor dissipates within a few seconds, only the user is exposed, thus reducing the twin complaints from by-standers of second-hand smoke exposure and lung damage from the chemicals in burning tobacco.

There are some side effects from inhaling nicotine vapor over a long period of time, such as throat irritation and, rarely, coughing and a runny nose. But these are seen as small inconveniences when compared to the dangers of regular tobacco use, such as smoking, chewing, and the use of tobacco snuff. While the device really can be used to reduce nicotine consumption by purchasing progressively weaker nicotine cartridges, the truth is that most people are using them so they can smoke in public places.

Though the FDA is examining e-cigs for safety, it seems pretty obvious that their use is less harmful than any of the other methods of using tobacco, both for the user and for other people. While acceptance and use of e-cigs has been slow in the US, the e-cigarettes have been popular and widely used in most of Europe for almost eight years and are allowed in restaurants and other public buildings.

Jewelry Insurance

There are many different types of insurance out there, such as pet insurance or homeowner’s insurance, but what about insurance for your jewelry? Typical homeowner’s insurance doesn’t fully cover any type of jewelry on it. That usually has to be purchased separately. However, if you don’t know this, then you are out of luck if something happens to your jewelry.

You can add on insurance for your jewelry, but you need to ask questions first. Ask your agent if there is a deductible associated with the policy and if so, then how much is it? Also, find out if you have to get the jewelry appraised by a certified jeweler before they will insure it. You may have to go to a specific appraiser that works exclusively with your insurance company. Ask if there’s one in your neighborhood and how much the appraisal will cost you.

You also want to find out if your policy is covered while you are on vacation. Is your ring covered if you lose it on the beach in Cancun? Will your watch be covered if you left it in an airport bathroom and it was stolen?

Find out whether you must get a replacement item or if you will get a cash settlement. Many companies require you to purchase the same or similar item in order for it to be replaced. What about jewelry that has been damaged? Check with your agent to see whether or not they cover the cost to fix damaged jewelry.

Take your time in understanding every part of the policy. Make sure to ask any questions that you are unsure about. If you have an agent that is good, they will work with you to answer any questions and also for you to choose the best policy that is right for you to insure any jewelry or valuables that you have.
