Which One? Blackberry or Iphone?
I guess you have read my last post that I like to have an iPhone to replace my more than 3yr old no cam Nokia phone. It sounds funny because it looks already Jurassic when you compare it with all the hi-tech phones that are sprouting these days. I reckon new styles and designs are coming each time and we as consumers have so much option on what to choose according to our needs. I definitely need an upgrade but wait iPhone or Blackberry?

Apple’s iPhone by far seems to be so popular and I remember when it was 1st launched worldwide, hundreds literally lined up at the stores to get hold of this lovely gadget. So what’s the fuzz about this little phone that my sister and some friends have already jumped in the iPhone bandwagon?
Getting a little bit jealous over their new “toy”, I have to quickly stick my nose and find out what magic does this iPhone has. Aside from being a basic phone, it can record video, sound; it has GPS, internet, it’s a multi touch and you can put a lot of applications. This phone definitely suits the needs of a busy people on the go or those that love to tinker around their phones. If you got one I’m pretty sure you already got yourself a nice iphone case and an iphone dock as well.
Wait.. Blackberry has its own charm as well and absolutely will not get left behind. I see no reason why lots of people including me want to upgrade and invest in these kinds of mobile phones or blackberry case.
Phones have become stylish and functional these days, accessories have been readily available in the stores from colourful cases, bluetooth headset, docks, touch guard shell and more. I seriously need to weigh which one my heart and my needs go and keeping my fingers crossed on these gadgets soon.

If give a choice I would love to have blackberry over i phone even if I have not tried both yet. hehehhe
I’m not sure about the Blackberry, but I wouldn’t buy the iPhone. It’s nice to use, but the features it has are really out of date.
I looked at the Apple, briefly, and a friend has one as well, but frankly it’s really not up to par. In the end I bought a Nokia N97, and I’ve been really happy with it.
Of course, it depends on your taste and so on, and also if you’re in the US or not, but there are many phones better these days. Apple may have kickstarted the market, but it can’t keep up with the dedicated phone manufacturers now they’ve caught up.
In terms of popularity, the Blackberry is actually more popular. Last quarter, they sold 8.3 million Blackberries. Apple’s numbers haven’t come out yet, but it is expected to be about 7.5 million iPhones.
The iPhone has the buzz right now because many feel it has a much better user interface. It is popular with younger folks, and people that play a lot with digital cameras and MP3 players. However, in the business world, the Blackberry dominates.
Personally, I have a 3 year old Motorola Razr. I can take pictures and video with it, as well as use it as an MP3 player, I’ve loaded a small amount of games on it. So, it works well enough for me.
Personally, I have concerns about how closed the iPhone is. Unless you jailbreak it, you can only run applications approved by Apple. As an application developer, I find that offensive. So, right now, I’m waiting for the next generation of Android phones to come out, and I’ll decide then if it is time to upgrade.
My two cents….
Hi Aldon, thanks for your very informative info and sharing your 2 cents.. made me think more if I really want an upgrade. hmm we’ll see
hi Chinaren, i agree it depends on our needs and taste. Probably i’m just been driven by the buzz of iphone and my desire to veer away from my old, plain but reliable nokia phone of mine. Thanks for the visit and comment as well.
I to have just updated my phone, and I have to say, I got the Blackberry Storm and absolutely love it!!
And if you are concerned about cost, the blackberry is your choice.
It has most of what the Iphone offers.
I even use it to take pictures and video for my blog, which means not taking the camera or video recorder with me all the time.
I love my Blackberry!!
