Which One? Blackberry or Iphone?
I guess you have read my last post that I like to have an iPhone to replace my more than 3yr old no cam Nokia phone. It sounds funny because it looks already Jurassic when you compare it with all the hi-tech phones that are sprouting these days. I reckon new styles and designs are coming each time and we as consumers have so much option on what to choose according to our needs. I definitely need an upgrade but wait iPhone or Blackberry?
Apple’s iPhone by far seems to be so popular and I remember when it was 1st launched worldwide, hundreds literally lined up at the stores to get hold of this lovely gadget. So what’s the fuzz about this little phone that my sister and some friends have already jumped in the iPhone bandwagon?
Getting a little bit jealous over their new “toy”, I have to quickly stick my nose and find out what magic does this iPhone has. Aside from being a basic phone, it can record video, sound; it has GPS, internet, it’s a multi touch and you can put a lot of applications. This phone definitely suits the needs of a busy people on the go or those that love to tinker around their phones. If you got one I’m pretty sure you already got yourself a nice iphone case and an iphone dock as well.
Wait.. Blackberry has its own charm as well and absolutely will not get left behind. I see no reason why lots of people including me want to upgrade and invest in these kinds of mobile phones or blackberry case.
Phones have become stylish and functional these days, accessories have been readily available in the stores from colourful cases, bluetooth headset, docks, touch guard shell and more. I seriously need to weigh which one my heart and my needs go and keeping my fingers crossed on these gadgets soon.

iPhone / Macro Lens: I Like But I Don’t Need (yet)
Now that Christmas is less than 70 days to go already, I guess most of us have been planning or for some already shopping little by little to avoid being rush. I myself have once crammed buying for a gift and would you believe I went to the mall of Dec. 24th where everyone is in a rush and the store closing down early. I end up buying a not so nice gift because what I really wanted is out of stock. Boooo, I will never do that again.
Anyway, I have some few likes that I like to have like this iPhone which can be a perfect gift for myself and a great would-be replacement for my old Nokia (with no camera lol) phone. As much as I want to have it but I don’t think I really need to have one (at the moment), I suppose.
Since I’m also into digital photography then this Canon macro lens can add to my lens collection, not that I have many. My broken 50mm lens has not been replaced as well so this macro lens goes in my list as well.
I like to have these two BUT with the looks of it and upon careful thinking on my part, I still don’t need them or I will not die to have them yet this year. I also don’t want to muddle up my finances right now as it will be too hard. Unnecessary expenses like buying these expensive gadgets are not my priority right now. I don’t want to have loans or big credits at the moment. You Should Be Saving Right Now
Have you started your Christmas list already? Me, I already wanted to start but I have been putting it off. I have to list down all the people that I will buy a gift so in that way I will not miss anyone and it’ll give me a guide on what to buy. Though there are times even when I have a list and have a budget for it, buying something other that what I have listed is unavoidable. At times I have 2 gifts for 1 person because I saw something nicer.
I also wanted to go to the upcoming great markdown sale at Robinsons Malls this weekend but knowing that it will be jam-packed, crowded and my list is not ready yet, I think I will opt not to go this year. I don’t want to end up buying something that I don’t really need just like what I did in the last few sales. Though my heart wants to shop but my mind is not willing yet. Funny but I have come to this age in my life that I don’t need to go to the mall every single week like I use to do before and just buy something that I see is nice or is on sale.
I think you have also read my penny-pinching post and though I love shopping, I reckon that window shopping is best for me right now hahaha. I also admire those people who have been saving up and filling their Savings Account for their major project. If i can just mention Mai, she and her husband are saving a lot to build their own house. Such a good move these days because renting or living with in-laws can be uncomfortable at times. Ok so, I guess it’s time for you to save but we have all the license to splurge when the holiday comes.

My Penny-pinching Attitude
Now that holidays are coming and my birthday is about to come as well, I have every reason to keep my belt tighter. I want to splurge on so many things but fortunately I was able to discipline myself which is always the case. I do spent sometimes and give myself a reward for all my hard work and during my birthday but my “kakuriputan” penny-pinching attitude always show most of the times and it works for me actually.
Would you believe it is only this year when I got my credit card, which I didn’t even applied for? Actually my bank sent me one but my cc was still stuck in envelop in my drawer and I would not even dare to use it. Why use it when I have cash anyway? Why would I use it knowing that it will incur interest? I’m just trying to be practical and I don’t want unnecessary spending and debt. I am afraid of that!!
It’s just my 2 cents but for those that can’t avoid having debts or loans, they must only make sure that they are responsible enough to pay what is due . Collection Agency representatives might be calling to you if you happen to neglect your duties and I know you don’t want to end up being run after by them.
